I strongly believe that any long or short documentary should be filmed and edited using much care just like one would create a movie! It is that high standard of quality, time-managing skill that make any good videographer, preditor or producer stand out.
This OpenAir concert is a great example on how a small team, consisting of one cameraman, one assistant, one video journalist and me - as the producer, executive producer and post-production editor can create with very little time and resources for the "making-off". It was very short notice and therefore I fit the process into my other job: Simultaneously directing the live openair concert with multi-cam's, 4 cameraman's and cast. The project was shot during 24 hours filming time and edited from A to Z starting on a Monday morning and finishing the rendering the next day at 7 AM. Non-stop, living of Red Bull and Pizza's just to meet the deadline and air on the same day on three simulcast television stations! The DVD's hit the stores 72 hours later too!
All special effects have been done with standard tools found in AVID Mediacomposer, including stereo downmix and 16:9 upconversion HD.

I truly love to create short documentaries for national network. Another great example is this documentary (report style) about the Swiss National Rescue Team, called the REGA. Within one day we followed in a second helicopter the hard working conditions of these amazing rescuers. 6 victims spread out through the Swiss Alps - one of them dead.

This documentary captivated over 500'000 viewers, which are amazing ratings in Switzerland. It is about the National Jodeling Ferstival in Lucerne, Switzerland. One ENG Camera for the job, one VJ and post-production within 6 hours!
